Bountiful Berries: Part 2, Blueberries

How to Grow Blueberries

If you live in an area that has acidic soil, you can plant blueberries right in the ground.
But if, like me, you live in an area that has alkaline soils, it's best to grow blueberries in pots in an acidic potting soil.

Five Simple Steps to Delicious Blueberries:

1.  Choose large pot (16" or larger in diameter)
2.  Fill with acidic soil mix (use 1/2 potting soil and 1/2 azalea/camelia mix or peat moss)
3.  Plant blueberry plant in pot (5 gallon plant will be productive right away)
4.  Keep moist.
5.  Fertilize regularly with acid plant food.

Fun Hint:  Under plant with strawberries for double berry fun!
